These cookies were part of the first batch of vegan cookies that will be sent to the winning bidder of our recent Menu For Hope VI auction item. She will receive 3 more batches of seasonally decorated cookies throughout the next year. We thank everyone who bid on any of the items in the auction to help raise funds for the United Nation's World Food Programme!

We recently created a lamp post cake for a company holiday party. It featured a wreath with sugar covered ornaments, lamp panels made of sugar & a blown sugar flame. Inside the flame was a real light to illuminate the lamp post, which stood over 3 ft tall!



The cake was chocolate with madagascar vanilla filling & white cake with raspberry filling.

A few weeks back we got an email from Amy, organizer for the Celiac's About Town group in NYC. She said that her group along with the NYC Celiac Disease Meetup Group were having a joint holiday party, & she asked if we could provide them with a cake.


We created this open ornament box cake for them made of gluten free chocolate & gluten free vanilla cake with raspberry filling. The ornament itself had a "100" on it because that party also marked the 100th meetup for one of the groups.

We picked the winners of the donation drive raffle yesterday & have delivered the donations & prizes! We, along with While You were Gone Petsitting Service would like to thank everyone who participated & would like to share some pictures below of everything we brought to the Jersey Coalition Animal Shelter. Your generosity really made a difference this holiday season to those animals, so THANK YOU!!

This sleigh cake is one we decorated for Erin (of the Homepage Wedding Cake fame) and her new groom's Hanukkah dinner. It is decorated in blues and silvers, with edible crystal-laden orbs, sugar pine cones and needles, and blue hydrangeas from their actual wedding cake! It is resting on twisted metal rails and is all wrapped in a gorgeous blue bow, with hand-painted silver swirls. The inside was a flavor we just developed- a S'mores cake! We baked a graham cracker cake, filled the layers with a milk chocolate ganache, and iced it with a delicious marshmallow buttercream!

Our friends at Cake Wrecks, Jen and John, have come up with a wonderful and ingenious way to help over two dozen different charities in the next two weeks-each day, they post a different charity program (to which they are personally giving at least $200 to each, btw!) with a link to it's donation site. They are asking their readers, which are now numbering in the tens of thousands, to each give only $1 per day. Imagine-with 80,000 readers, that's a LOT of dough and a LOT of warm fuzzy feelings! Hanukkah began at sundown on Friday December 11th so we are a little bit belated in our good wishes, but we'd like to wish all our Jewish friends a very happy Hanukkah!
